Azim Jamal, International Best-selling Author and Speaker
Azim Jamal is a sought-after inspirational speaker, management consultant and executive coach. He is also an international best-selling author. His dynamic, inspiring and thought-provoking message has been heard by over one million people in 26 countries. His work has been recognized by leading thinkers in the field of human potential including Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Jack Canfield, Brian Tracy and Dr. Ken Blanchard.
Azim was born in Tanzania and educated in Kenya, the U.K. and Canada. He holds three professional accounting and financial qualifications. He made his life-changing career switch from "accounting for business" to "accounting for life" during a soul-stirring experience while volunteering in the developing world. Overcome by the plight of homeless refugees in war-torn areas of the world, he vowed to make a difference in people's lives.
Azim has authored several best-selling books including The Power of Giving which reached # 1 on Amazon.com and The Corporate Sufi. 100 percent of the proceeds of The Power of Giving go to the Tides Foundation, which supports humanitarian work. Over the past 20 years, Azim has stayed committed to volunteering 15 hours per week to community service in his local community and overseas.
In keeping with living a balanced life, Azim meditates regularly and is a proud father, who coaches his son in soccer and supports his teenage daughter's aptitude for business. An active sportsman, he played cricket and soccer for 20 years before retiring from league games in 1992. Azim lives with his wife, children and parents in Vancouver, Canada.
